Want to write for Art21’s blog? Read on…

Art21 is seeking up to two freelance art bloggers to contribute to this growing site on a regular basis.

Knowledge of contemporary art and art writing experience is essential; an art education background is also welcome. Experience with WordPress, the ability to break news, develop contacts, and assist with Art21’s guest blog (brainstorming and pursuing guest writers) are all preferred. The blogger’s posts will consist of a combination of exhibition reviews and related contemporary art news. Other topics will be discussed with Art21’s blog editor, who will both assign you stories as well as seek out your ideas.

Blogger will be paid per post, with a maximum of five posts weekly (one daily). This position will commence with a three-month introductory period, followed by the possibility of continuing indefinitely.

Candidates need not live in NYC (this is a telecommuting gig) but should be willing to cover their local art scene when appropriate.
