Robert Adams has long been a hero of mine. I think that he is one of the few artists today who understands the fact that good art is essentially linked with truth. His photographs for me are wholely truthful. They are at the same time both beautiful and sad, and ultimately show us something of the mystery which we will never be able to explain rationally, but which we feel and know is important.
