		<description><![CDATA[Wangechi Mutu (and Joe Fusaro) were keynote speakers at a conference hosted by NYSATA last year. Wangechi&#039;s work is terrific to bring into any conversation with students because she recontextualizes material AND speaks to sexuality (especially experienced from a vantagepoint of African and African/American women).  

Ms. Mutu just had a terrific book published about her work - it would be a great addition to any lesson plan, as it gives examples of how her finished pieces gestate from very simple sketchbook ideas......]]></description>
