		<description>For me, there has to be a distinction between &#039;environment&#039; and &#039;environmental protection&#039;.

Art which comments on &#039;environmental protection&#039; can be completely divorced from the environmental context of outdoor spaces, just as the physical production of environmental contaminents is often physically divorced from the environment which it affects (think CO2 produced by power stations which may be on the other side of the world from the glaciers destroyed by global warming). 

Art which focusses on &#039;environmental preservation&#039; has to discuss issues of materiality and the built environment, the way in which society produces, the resources we consume and physical products we emit to the wider environment.</description>
