The connection that one has with their childhood environment runs very deep, and the sense of our childhood landscapes disappearing is especially poignant right now. With so many small towns suffering under the economic downturn we&#039;re having to face the erasure of the safe places we knew. The artist&#039;s realization of this through photography connects the viewers through a shared sense of loss. Whereas ten years ago it might have been possible to breeze by such a work, now it is nearly impossible to ignore.]]></description>
